BioMasr’s passion for a better future with more sustainable and circular solutions to waste management and cleaner agriculture has led to the establishment of BioMasr Pyrolysis Plant (BPP) in Beni Suef where agricultural waste is processed to produce valuable products that are used to better the agricultural scene in Egypt and beyond.

BPP holds a special place in BioMasr’s brands catalogue. It is an innovative technology that is specifically adapted to suit the Egyptian climate, waste, and market. The plant utilises agricultural waste from the area and process it to produce biochar, wood vinegar, and syngas. Biochar is a soil amendment that improves soil health and has the capacity to sequester carbon in the soil for a century. Wood vinegar is used as a natural pesticide and can be used in the production of natural fertilisers. Syngas is recycled to fuel the whole process.

BPP is where BioMasr’s commitment to adapting innovative solutions and creating a full-circle model where waste is utilised to farm better crops, create healthier soils, and build a brighter future really comes to light. BioMasr used its expertise to adapt the technology to suit the Egyptian climate and waste types in the area and to ensure that the produced end-products are tailored to fit the Egyptian market and lands, with the R&D capacity to develop further to suit exportation markets during future expansion. This makes BPP the perfect solution to the area’s waste management problem and sustainable agricultural issues while reducing emissions and saving energy.
